John Cena's Best WWE Matches Ever (... According To The Internet)
10. John Cena Vs. Umaga, Royal Rumble 2007 -- Rating: 9.00
Umaga made his WWE debut on Raw immediately following WrestleMania 22, and he spent the rest of 2006 carving a path of destruction through the WWE roster. So impressive was the undefeated "Samoan Bulldozer" that he earned a title shot against WWE Champion John Cena at New Year's Revolution. Cena scored the win with a fluke rollup, but it was clear that the victory was simply a technical one.
That set the stage for a rematch between the two men at the 2007 Royal Rumble -- this time, in a Last Man Standing match. Umaga dominated from the outset, targeting Cena's already-injured ribs. When John Cena collapsed while trying to execute his Attitude Adjustment finisher, it looked as though the unstoppable Umaga would soon be hoisting the WWE Title over his head.
However, Cena could not be counted out. After avoiding a running splash through the announcers' table, Cena was able to take advantage. He hit the Attitude Adjustment, then applied the STF (choking Umaga with a detached ring rope for good measure). Umaga passed out and couldn't answer the 10 count, giving Cena the win.
