John Cena's WWE Absence Reason Revealed
Just what is he doing for the next two months?
Pro wrestling author and blogger Scott Keith of BlogOfDoom.com claims that John Cena's upcoming hiatus from WWE is a result of a new, non-wrestling television show he will be hosting. A source in the fitness industry told Keith that Cena will film a new fitness-themed reality show for the FOX network, that will premiere in the Spring of 2016. The show begins shooting on October 26th, the day after Hell in a Cell, and production continues until the first or second week of January. For a few weeks, the exact reason for Cena's departure has been speculated on, with everything from injury to a possible marriage to Nikki Bella. Most observers would say Cena should just rest his body, and come back strong for Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania season, but Cena once again will show his intense work ethic by taking on this additional project. Whatever will happen over the next month regarding Cena, will be a huge deal, and replacing him will be difficult. It looks like Dolph Ziggler will get to face off with Cena, and perhaps defeat him for the United States Championship, perhaps with the Nikki Bella/Ziggler storyline writing him off TV. As we reported several weeks back, WWE is reportedly trying to bring in the likes of The Undertaker and The Rock to soften the loss of Cena, in light of the ratings slump they've been going through.
