Jon Moxley CONCUSSED On AEW Dynamite, Calls Audible
Jon Moxley called an audible during AEW Dynamite match with Rey Fenix,
Jon Moxley suffered a minor concussion during his International Title defence against Rey Fenix on last night's special Grand Slam episode of AEW Dynamite, prompting the Blackpool Combat Club man to call an audible on the finish.
Fenix hit Moxley with an over-the-shoulder sitout piledriver towards the bout's end. Fenix covered Mox, but referee Rick Knox stopped short of counting the three, despite the International Champion not kicking out or getting a shoulder out. Moxley was then seen muttering something to his colleagues. Moments later, Fenix pulled his opponent back up, hit the same move, and scored the three-count to take the title and the win.
It was a strange moment to watch live - and one that has now been clarified.
The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer reports that Moxley suffered a mild concussion during the bout:

PWTorch confirmed the concussion, stating that it happened during the duo's pre-match brawl (which would mean Mox wrestled the entire bout concussed). Later in the contest, Moxley, who knew something was wrong, made the call to alter the finish. Knox was unsure of the actual finish, however, which is why he didn't count three after the first piledriver.
Despite the concussion, Moxley "isn't expected to [miss] much if any ring time."
Fightful Select, meanwhile, reported on the altered finish, adding that Moxley left ringside of his own volition. Several people checked over him after the bell, with Mox communicating that he was fine.
