Jon Moxley is set to be named Wrestling Observer Newsletter's 2020 Wrestler of the Year.

The news was revealed during Moxley's newly released interview on the Wrestling Observer Radio, where the AEW star spoke about everything from his upcoming Bloodsport match against Davey Boy Smith Jr., to his equally (if not more) brutal Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch against AEW World Champion Kenny Omega at Revolution 2021.

Before Mox could touch upon any of these subjects, however, Gonzales and Meltzer decided it was only right to reveal the news of Moxley's impending award to the man himself as their conversation began.

This award comes after a stellar 12 months for the former AEW World Champion, with the no-nonsense star clocking up excellent matches against the likes of Chris Jericho, Eddie Kingston, Lance Archer, Brodie Lee, and Kenny Omega...to name but a few.

Before Moxley gets his hands on Omega once again, though, the star has to get through the aforementioned Bloodsport encounter tonight, and a NJPW United States Heavyweight Championship defence against KENTA at New Beginning USA on February 26.

Needless to say, the news of the star becoming a father in the not too distant future hasn't led to Moxley slowing down when it comes to relentless in-ring carnage.
