IMPACT Wrestling standout Josh Alexander is now technically a free agent following the expiration of his contract with the Anthem-helmed promotion.

Alexander confirmed as much on Twitter earlier this week. An unfortunate result of his IMPACT contract expiring is that his United States work visa has subsequently done the same, preventing the Canadian from wrestling in the US until the situation is resolved:-

This followed the former IMPACT World Champion being pulled from 19 February's No Surrender pay-per-view. Many attributed storyline reasons to this, as IMPACT executive recently sent Alexander home (in kayfabe) after destroying newcomer Big Kon (formerly Konnor in WWE) after beating him in a minute-long match.

Alexander has been pushing for a shot at Moose's IMPACT World Title since losing the belt at Bound For Glory, falling victim to the big man's Call Your Shot Gauntlet cash-in within minutes of defeating Christian Cage to capture the strap for the first time.

Whether or not the 34-year-old will end up re-signing with IMPACT Wrestling remains to be seen, though it seems his ability to work in the US hinges on him securing a full-time contract with an American company.
