Jushin Thunder Liger Confirmed For WWE Hall Of Fame 2020
The Japanese legend's HOF induction has seemingly been confirmed.
Jushin Thunder Liger looks set to become the latest wrestler to officially join the WWE Hall of Fame's Class of 2020.
Japanese outlet Tokyo Sports has confirmed the NJPW legend's induction, verifying February reports from the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer and WrestleVotes claiming that the 55-year-old would be honoured.
While the Tokyo Sports article notes that the Hall of Fame ceremony, like everything else WrestleMania 36-related, is up in the air thanks to the coronavirus crisis, Liger still wants to fly to the United States for the honour.
Liger drew the curtain on a 36-year professional wrestling career after NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14 this January. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential wrestlers of all time, having starred as an innovative, game-changing Junior Heavyweight in his home promotion, becoming a legend of the tape trade scene back in the '90s. That period also saw Liger wrestle for WCW, and his later years saw him regularly performing at a level far above that which anyone of his age should be able to muster.
Batista, the New World Order, The British Bulldog, The Bella Twins, and JBL have all been confirmed for the Class of 2020 so far.
