Karrion Kross Promo Airs During WWE Raw
NXT Champion makes rare Raw appearance, warning The Way.
A promo featuring current NXT Champion Karrion Kross and his manager Scarlett aired during last night's WWE Raw, as the duo warned The Way ahead of tonight's black and gold broadcast.
Scarlett dropped a Rocky Balboa quote during the promo, saying "a wise man once said 'nothing hits your harder than life itself,'" before Kross got into it, letting Austin Theory and Johnny Gargano know their time was running out.
This comes following a series of angles that established the Kross/The Way rivalry on last week's NXT. Theory talked himself into trouble with the NXT Champion in a backstage segment featuring Scarlett and William Regal, before he and Gargano ended up laying Karrion out later in the evening. Theory is set to face the big man on tonight's show, which could serve as a bridge to an eventual Kross vs. Gargano match.
Ostensibly a promotional piece of tonight's NXT, this was a more overt bit of advertising than WWE usually opts for when it comes to putting its Tuesday show over on a mainline brand.
