Keith Lee "Perplexed" By WWE Music Change
"It was rough, man!"
Like the rest of us, Keith Lee has admitted that he was “perplexed” at WWE’s decision to change his entrance theme upon moving from NXT to Raw.
In a new interview with Bleacher Report, Limitless explained:
“That was something else. Originally, honestly, even I was a little perplexed. You get all the people who came up to Raw who still used their old music. Mind you, none of them did their own music. I’m the only one that did, so it would make more sense for me to be the one to keep using my music. However, that did not happen, so they asked me to use something else, and I did, and I tried to be as accommodating as possible by putting the front of the song on that track, and it just didn’t vibe. It was rough, man! I did the best I could, given the circumstances, and I was like, ‘I just have to ride with this until I can figure something out.’”
Lee went on to add how “between the gear and the music, I just got destroyed” by the online response to his Raw arrival.
Elsewhere in the interview, the former NXT Champion detailed how NXT “felt more of a controlled chaos” in comparison to a Raw landscape that “became chaos all out”.
It’s been a strange old time for Keith Lee since moving to Raw. The ridiculously charismatic powerhouse has undoubtedly been in some major matches against heavy hitters like Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton, yet the change in the presentation of the Keith Lee character is something that many fans have struggled to get on board with.
Last night saw Lee come up short in challenging for McIntyre’s WWE Championship, and given the return of Goldberg, it now looks as if Limitless will find himself entering the men’s Royal Rumble match at January 31’s Rumble PPV.
