Closing out a hugely noteworthy edition of the IMPACT Wrestling's annual Slammiversary PPV, last night saw Kenny Omega successfully defend the IMPACT World Championship against Sami Callihan.

In this brutal No DQ contest, the Best Bout Machine picked up the win after throwing tacks at Callihan, loading up his knee with tacks and hitting two V-Triggers, then landing a One-Winged Angel on more tacks.

Interference from the Good Brothers was thwarted by Eddie Edwards and Chris Sabin, but the biggest talking point of Slammiversary came in the final seconds of the show. As Omega celebrated in-ring with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, Bullet Club's Jay White came out to the ring... just as the PPV went off the air.

Elsewhere, two sets of new champions were crowned as both the men's and women's Tag Team Championships changed hands at Slammiversary 2021.

Starting the night off with a bang, the Decay tandem of Rosemary and Havok toppled Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz to become the new Knockouts Tag Team Champions, with Havok hitting the Tombstone on Hogan to get the W. As for the men's Tag Team Championships, the aforementioned Good Brothers dethroned Violet By Design in a four-way match also featuring Rich Swann & Willie Mack and Fallah Bahh and the debuting No Way Jose - who was referred to simply as No Way.

In the PPV's other title bouts, Josh Alexander retained the X Division Title in an Ultimate X bout. The ever-impressive Walking Weapon bested challengers Petey Williams, Trey Miguel, Chris Bey, Rohit Raju and Ace Austin here. As for Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo, she was successful in defending her prize against a mystery partner who turned out to be none other than Thunder Rosa.
