Kenny Omega Teases AEW Heel Turn On Being The Elite
'The Cleaner' is coming. Get ready.
Kenny Omega's All Elite Wrestling heel turn teases continued on this week's episode of Being The Elite, the closing scene of which saw the 'Best Bout Machine' reprise his old 'Cleaner' persona.
This came after Matt Jackson was seen reflecting on The Young Buck's recent decision to boot Hangman Page out of The Elite. Page was jettisoned after costing the Bucks a pinfall in last week's gauntlet bout for Tag Team Title contendership, with the BTE scene bleeding into a shot of Omega looking in a rearview mirror, clad in 'Cleaner'-style aviator shades.
Recent weeks have brought increasing signs of Omega reverting back to his old, heelish form. Flipping out on his opponents on several occasions, while proving a disruptive force in his partner Hangman's attempts at forming a bond with FTR, Kenny is breaking bad - and it feels like it's only a matter of time before he goes all the way.
Omega and Page defend the AEW Tag Team Championships against FTR at All Out this Saturday (5 September). FTR earned their shot by winning the aforementioned gauntlet match, with Hangman's interference preventing them from facing the Bucks.
