KENTA & Kenny Omega Teaming On Next Week's AEW Dynamite?
KENTA, Omega, Jon Moxley, and Lance Archer set for Lights Out match?
Fresh off debuting on last night's AEW Dynamite Beach Break special, it looks like KENTA's first match with the promotion just became apparent.
Kemmy Omega teased teaming with the NJPW wrestler in a clip uploaded to AEW's Twitter feed after Beach Break. In it, Omega attempts to welcome KENTA to "the American club," only to be told to "shut the f*ck up," because the IWGP United States Title contender is here for Jon Moxley, not 'The Cleaner.' KENTA then walked off, leaving Omega to pitch an unsanctioned lights out match pitting him and KENTA against Moxley and Lance Archer.
Here's the clip in question:-
Archer arrived on the scene as Omega and the Good Brothers beat Moxley down following their Beach Break victory over Mox, PAC, and Rey Fenix. He chased Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows off before KENTA made his big debut, laying Moxley out ahead of their IWGP United States Title match.
Moxley returned to New Japan via its US-based STRONG show last week. He and KENTA will contest the US belt at The New Beginning USA 2021 on 26 February. Whether or not these moves signify the start of a formal AEW/NJPW working relationship remains to be seen.
