After signing several major international stars to developmental deals, the WWE NXT brand is likely to be a hot topic in the coming months. As it turns out, one of the big signings may end up being on TV rather soon. Both KENTA and Fergal "Prince" Devitt were backstage at the most recent NXT television tapings at Full Sail University this week, but didn't appear in front of the live crowd on filmed or dark segments. According to Figure 4 Weekly, there were discussions regarding putting KENTA on camera in some capacity, so an on-screen debut could be imminent. NXT's episodes are currently filmed through mid-September, with their next tapings set for September 12, which is one day after the announced NXT Takeover 2 special. Neither KENTA or Devitt are currently slated to wrestle the Takeover 2 event, and with the next several episodes in the can, it's unlikely they'll be added in a wrestling capacity. WWE also reportedly recently signed former Ring of Honor world champion Kevin Steen, although no debut or report date has been set for him, either. It was noted earlier that popular independent tag team the Young Bucks are also teasing a WWE signing, but those rumors have not been confirmed, and is quite possibly just a joke.
