Back in July, Kevin Steen wrestled his final match with Ring of Honor. It was assumed that he would WWE bound following his ROH departure, and that proved to be the case. WWE officially announced Steens signing on August 12th, however, it was reported that he would not be heading to the Performance Center right away. Instead, it seemed Steen had a few things to take care of first -- probably some family matters involving his wife and son, as well as the move to Florida from Quebec. Now, however, Kevin Steen has officially reported to the WWE Performance Center to begin his training. Steen sent out a tweet yesterday stating, Today is my first day at the and also, my wedding anniversary. The tweet was accompanied by a picture of Steens wife and young son. Kevin will likely run into many old friends at the Performance Center. He has history to varying degrees with current NXT Champion Adrian Neville, Fergal Devitt, Solomon Crowe, and of course, Sami Zayn -- his old tag team partner and best friend. WWE Referee, Drake Wuertz -- former indie wrestler, Drake Younger -- sent out a tweet yesterday also. Drake ran into Steen at the Performance Center and tweeted Bumped into the new guy Hes a pretty swell fella. Welcome to NXT. Its interesting to note that Steen looks to have possibly lost some weight. In the photo tweeted by Wuertz, Kevin is by no means slim and trim, but does seem to have dropped some pounds. It will be interesting to see if Steen continues to lose weight or retains his current size, as WWE has had issues with certain wrestlers physiques and weight issues in the past. Its also been speculated as to what WWE plans to do with Steen. For the time being, it seems he has retained his name -- which is his real name. However, its far too early to speculate what will happen with the French-Canadian grappler in regard to his debut, potential storylines, and the like. Speculation was aroused that a potential team will be formed by Steen and Fergal Devitt, after the latter tweeted a picture of the two. Again, however, that is only speculation and wishful thinking at this point. Undoubtedly, Kevin Steen is a phenomenal competitor and hopefully, the former Ring of Honor Champion will have an opportunity to show his stuff soon in NXT and WWE.
