Nearly one year after his submission victory over Conor McGregor, and the dolly throwing, cage jumping, crowd fighting fiasco that came with it, and with his next UFC lightweight title defense against Dustin Poirier mere days away, Dagestan's Khabib Nurmagomedov still isn’t over his intense beef with the controversial Irish superstar.

Though he stated the rivalry will “never be finished,” Nurmagomedov told ESPN on Thursday that he has zero interest in a rematch with McGregor until the Irishman (who hasn't had a victory in over three years), proves himself worthy of a shot at the title.

McGregor recently expressed interest in returning to the Octagon this year, given the state of the lightweight division it could be a rocky road back to title contention, and that's if the undefeated Nurmagomedov is willing to grant him a rematch, inside of the cage as opposed to in the streets.

When asked about bringing closure to the rivalry, Khabib stated;

Just smash only him is not enough, we have to smash all his team… we are going to war, this is not about just fighting...it's never been finished, if we see each other somewhere we will fight.
