5. Rey Mysterio

Kofi Kingston teamed with Rey Mysterio on and off between 2009 and 2011, and the duo experienced a decent amount of success. Their high-flying styles, in a WWE context at least, meshed well, and working with the experienced Rey was clearly a boon for Kofi. After his feud with Randy Orton fizzled out Kofi found himself tagging with a number of people, but his team with Rey would be the most successful.

Early on in their tenure they even had a shot at the WWE World Tag Team Titles. In 2009 John Morrison & The Miz were holding the straps, and had pretty much beaten all comers and weren't shy about telling everyone. On an episode of RAW they were bragging about their success, only to be interrupted by Kofi & Rey. The match was on.

Miz & Morrison managed to keep their straps by the skin of their teeth that night, and despite having a 62% win rate together Rey & Kofi were never really in title contention again. Kofi would experience greater success with another high flying ace.
