Kurt Angle is genuinely surprised that James Storm isn't tearing it up in WWE.

The Hall Of Famer told listeners on his podcast that Storm would be a "big star" if he was working for Vince McMahon - Angle also said that he knows James turned down an offer from Triple H to be part of NXT full-time a few years back.

That's something the ex-Olympian thinks was a huge mistake from his fellow TNA alumni.

Storm later reached out to see if WWE were still interested, but they...weren't. In other words, he missed his chance, and the door was slammed shut when he came calling again. Kurt seemed baffled by that on his pod, because he reckons NXT, Raw or SmackDown could use a "great character" with a "great look" like the 'Cowboy'.

Angle did say that Storm sometimes seemed a "little lazy once in a while" during their Impact days together. That's something which perhaps held James back, but Kurt doesn't think it'd be a problem if he was super-motivated by WWE success.

WWE probably won't revisit a Storm comeback any time soon. They might've moved on from the 44 year old for good.
