LA Knight Admits "Frustrations" In WWE (WWE News)
WWE star LA Knight freely admits that company creative can be infuriating, but...
Regular WWE booking bridesmaid LA Knight has addressed those concerns with comments during an appearance on ESPN SportsCenter. According to the former 2-time United States Champion, it's 100% true that the creative process can be infuriating. He said there are "definitely frustrations here and there".
However, Knight also went on to say that this is the case when passionate people are involved in something so freeform and expressive. There are no guarantees in pro wrestling, and a veteran of the industry should know that, but LA would be lying if he said he didn't get frustrated every now and then.
During the interview, the popular babyface said "it's been a hell of a run" and "a hell of a ride" thus far in WWE. He turned around initial main roster disappointment by reverting to his LA Knight character following a stint as Maximum Male Models mouthpiece Max Dupri.
Perhaps shockingly, his kayfabe sister Maxxine has kept the Dupri name but gone on to standalone success in the women's division over on Raw.
LA enjoys the chance to "pick [his] spots", but also knows fine well how vital it is to chill when off the road: "It’s just trying to unplug when I actually have the chance to go home and be at home and enjoy that time", he said. Having that perspective, likely inspired by years of hard graft before he even made it to WWE, has been useful when brave-facing some of his biggest disappointments.
Knight is involved in Saturday's Elimination Chamber PLE. He enters the titular structure alongside Jey Uso, Cody Rhodes, Trick Williams, Randy Orton and Je'Von Evans, and could be considered an outside bet to win the match.
