UPDATE - WWE has now confirmed the injury. During a training session afternoon, Lana had sustained an injury in the ring. We attended to her and noticed that she had a deformity of her wrist," said WWE's senior ringside physician Dr. Amann. "We obtained X-rays which showed a Colles fracture and in a splint. Most of these Colles fractures do better surgically than non-surgically, especially in younger patients. Most likely this will require an operation, which will take her out of active competition for approximately four months. ORIGINAL STORY- Lana could be set to miss time due to injury, following speculation over the weekend that she hurt herself at Friday's live show in Fairfax, Virginia. She has since failed to appear on Sunday's live show, and has tweeted "A hero without wounds is not a hero." A Lana injury right now would be terrible timing. Her feud with Summer Rae has been simmering away for weeks, and the audience are definitely ready to see them going at it in a match. It could be a straight up Lana versus Summer Rae match, or Lana and Dolph Ziggler versus Rusev and Summer Rae. Whatever the scenario, the time to pull the trigger is now. The entire narrative she's involved in has already suffered a devastating injury on one occasion, with Rusev being sidelined with an ankle injury when the story first started. That bad timing helped to kill much of Lana's momentum, and the story has never really recovered. Thankfully, WWE added Summer Rae to the equation, and that's helped to resurrect some of the interest. The bad blood between Summer and Lana has been entertaining, to the point it has overshadowed Rusev and Ziggler. Hopefully Lana's injury is minor, and WWE can move forward with plans for the Lana versus Summer match.
