Lars Sullivan Released By WWE?
WWE News - Lars Sullivan Released By WWE!
Having been absent from WWE programming since November, it now looks as if WWE has actually released Lars Sullivan.
Despite still being listed as a SmackDown superstar on WWE.com, PWInsider reports that the Freak was quietly released by WWE in January. As of yet, WWE has yet to formally announce Sullivan’s termination.
If Sullivan’s WWE tenure is indeed done, it was certainly a rather bizarre run with Vince McMahon’s sports entertainment juggernaut.
Having signed with the company back in 2013, the powerhouse finally made his NXT debut in May 2017. Early 2019 saw vignettes air on both Raw and SmackDown to announce Sullivan’s impending main roster arrival, but that arrival was delayed after Lars took time off to due to anxiety issues.
Sullivan’s eventual April 2019 main roster debut was shortly followed by a major knee injury that left him out of action for a significant time. In addition to this, previous racist, sexist and homophobic forum posts of the real-life Dylan Miley surfaced in the weeks and months after this injury, and it also came to light that his younger years saw Miley appear in adult movies.
Another return to action came in October of last year for Lars Sullivan, yet he’d be gone from TV again in November – with his last official match coming on 23 October against Chad Gable.
As mentioned, WWE has yet to make an official announcement on Sullivan's release, but this is one very much to keep your eye on.
