Wrestling his last match for the company on the February 17th 2020 edition of Raw just 10 days before a Super ShowDown card he was removed from, the 'Bulgarian Brute's release felt somehow simultaneously unjust and overdue.

It was repeatedly apparent how determined the group were not to push him - he lost this tag match to Angel Garza and Bobby Lashley just as he lost almost every contest to 'The Almighty' during their actual feud.
