Latest Backstage Details On Maryse's WWE Return
The latest on Maryse, who returned alongside The Miz on WWE Raw this week.
Maryse returned to WWE programming for the first time in over seven months this week - and it sounds like she might be sticking around.
PWInsider's Mike Johnson notes that it is believed Maryse's comeback wasn't a one-off, with current backstage chatter pointing towards her potentially working with Beth Phoenix as part of a wider storyline with The Miz and Edge.
Maryse was by Miz's side when her husband returned to WWE programming to confront Edge this week. It was the first time Miz had been seen since departing for Dancing With The Stars in August, and was designed to start his Edge feud, concluding, as it did, with 'The A-Lister' bailing out of a fight with the Hall of Famer.
Phoenix currently works as a commentator on NXT 2.0. Her last match was the 2020 women's Royal Rumble, in which she was reunited with Santina Marella.
Maryse has kept only a sporadic WWE schedule since 2018, when she moved away from television as Miz entered a feud with Shane McMahon. She last appeared on Raw back in April, helping Miz and John Morrison to a handicap match victory over Damian Priest.
