Penta El Zero Miedo, Emi Sakura, and Kyle Fletcher all lost high-profile matches on this week's AEW Dynamite, but the highest-profile casualty was one of Nick Wayne's teeth.

The 18-year-old prospect was battered and bloodied up during a segment with Darby Allin, Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and Sting. Bleeding from the mouth, it appeared, during the broadcast, that Wayne had suffered a chipped tooth.

This was legitimate. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez reported that he'd heard Wayne's tooth had been "chipped all the way to the nerve," as he legitimately smacked his face on the ground during the Dynamite brawl. Later, Alvarez clarified that Nick's chomper had actually been "chipped completely in half" rather than to the bone.

Fightful Select later provided a vital dentistry update, noting that Wayne was "supposed to get his tooth fixed [on Thursday.]"

Wayne became the youngest signing in AEW history in February 2022, when Allin handed him a contract during a DEFY Wrestling event. Nick was just 16 years old at the time, with the contract effectively starting when he hit 18, which was earlier this year. The third-generation star made his AEW debut on the 12 July episode of Dynamite.
