Latest On Becky Lynch's WWE Injury Status
New details on Becky Lynch, who has been injured & out of WWE action since SummerSlam 2022.
Rumours that Becky Lynch is on the verge of an imminent WWE comeback have been greatly exaggerated, it seems.
Lynch has been out of action since 30 July, when she mounted a failed challenge for Bianca Belair's Raw Women's Championship at SummerSlam 2022. Suffering a shoulder injury during the bout, Becky appeared on Raw two nights later, explaining her impending absence before a backstage beatdown by the newly-formed Damage CTRL, whom Lynch had helped Belair chase off at SummerSlam.
This served as a write-off for Becky, who hoped for a swift comeback.
Now, Fightful Select reports that following previous rumours that Lynch was set for an ahead-of-schedule comeback in late September, WWE personnel had not yet followed up with Becky about a potential return at that stage.
WWE had initially hoped to have Lynch back within a couple of months of undergoing her post-SummerSlam surgery. There remains no clear return timetable for her, with physical therapists and doctors decreeing Becky still had a few months of rehab ahead of her back in early September.
While the promotion is hopeful of having one of its biggest stars back by 2022's end, whether or not this is realistic is currently unclear.
