With Joe Hendry having now formally swapped TNA for WWE, there are now some new details on the charismatic Scot's WWE contract.

When asked during a recent Fightful Select Answers Q&A about how long he thinks Hendry will stick around in NXT, Sean Ross Sapp said that Joe is on a "main roster level deal", adding that he's "making above the main roster minimum". Speculating, SRS suggested that talents like Ricky Saints or Ethan Page could be moved to the main roster, with Joe Hendry then taking centre-stage as "the next guy up on NXT with familiarity outside WWE." Sapp also threw out the idea of Joe appearing in a "Mr. Iguana-esque" way, "where he pops up here and there."

Obviously, for those talents brought into NXT on main roster deals, they don't tend to spend all that much time in NXT before being moved to Raw or SmackDown. After all, why would you pay somebody main roster money, just to have them spend a couple of years in your development brand, where you can't get the full value out of them? Likewise, if a main roster-paid talent is sent back to NXT and isn't developing as expected, chances are that that talent will find themselves on the chopping block as and when WWE's next round of releases comes around.

The WWE main roster could certainly do with freshening up right now, particularly as SmackDown gears up to return to the three-hour format, and there are clearly several NXT stars who you could drop into Raw or SmackDown any day now. Purely your writer's thoughts, but Saints, Page, Oba Femi, Trick Williams, Jordynne Grace, Sol Ruca, Jaida Parker, Kelani Jordan, Josh Briggs, Tony D'Angelo, Je'Von Evans, Hank and Tank, and possibly Blake Monroe and Fatal Influence are all names worthy of a chance on the main roster. Sure, some of those might be better served to spend a little more time in NXT, but at a time when WWE is in desperate need of a shake-up of its Raw and SmackDown rosters, there are so many NXT talents ready to be handed the ball on one of the main roster brands.
