What's the timeline looking like on that Jeff Hardy TV return in AEW?
PWInsider Elite reports that Jeff Hardy's rearranged pre-trial hearing will take place on 19 October.
Hardy's legal team had the court case pushed back in July and had waived the right for a speedy trial so they could prepare his defence. This is the rescheduled hearing, and it could determine whether or not Jeff is able to launch a return to AEW TV this year.
Fans shouldn't hold their collective breaths on that.
Tony Khan reportedly won't bring Hardy back into the fold on Dynamite or Rampage until he proves he can maintain sobriety - Jeff is suspended right now, and it's unlikely he'll be seen on programming before the end of the year.
Obviously, depending on how things go during the rearranged hearing, it might be longer than that. There's also a chance that AEW will never bring Hardy back to screens, but the company does deserve credit for sticking by him during another tough time in his life.
Long story short, you won't be seeing that tag-team reunion Matt Hardy has been teasing for another while longer. In fact, it might not happen at all.
