Liv Morgan's WWE Return Draws Huge YouTube Numbers
This week's Raw wedding was one of the year's most-watched WWE segments.
Liv Morgan returned during this week's WWE Raw wedding angle, interrupting Lana and Bobby Lashley's ceremony to reveal that she and the former 'Ravishing Russian' were once lovers, drawing an, ahem, mixed response from fans and critics.
While not necessarily a hit with viewers and reviewers, the segment was a colossal smash on YouTube, pulling a whopping 3.8 million viewers at the time of writing. That's a monster number and one that will spur WWE to keep going with the program, given their increased focus on YouTube clicks and other social media engagement rates as metrics.
This makes the wedding WWE's second most popular segment clip of 2019. Per numbers compiled by Fightful's Jeremy Lambert, only The Undertaker's return to save Roman Reigns on Raw's 24 June episode pulled a bigger number in a similar post-upload timeframe, scoring 4.3 million views. Other big-hitting 2019 videos include Lana and Lashley attacking Rusev on 28 October (3.3 million), the Braun Strowman/Lashley arm-wrestling contest from 3 June (2.7 million), and Goldberg's 5 August in-ring return (2.4 million).
No matter the critical response, these clips just keep on clicking. This means that the storyline isn't going anywhere soon.
