Impact Wrestling has paid tribute to longtime voice over man Barry Scott on their official Twitter page.

65-year old Scott sadly passed away recently. Most wrestling fans will remember him for his gravelly, low voice and dramatic style when presenting TNA pay-per-view intros or hype packages.

Here is the first tweet Impact posted:

"We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Barry Scott. For years Barry was the iconic voice of TNA Wrestling, lending us gravitas and credibility. He will be dearly missed."

The company then followed up on their tribute by posting a number of clips Scott narrated over the years. Stick one on and you'll immediately be hit with nostalgic vibes from the late 00s/early-2010s. His voice certainly helped the promotion's, "New Face Of Professional Wrestling" and, "Wrestling Matters Here" campaigns stand out.

Scott's last appearance for Impact occurred earlier this year. He performed a special introduction for Moose, largely to give the TNA Heavyweight Champion an old-school flavour. It worked a treat.

All here at WhatCulture would like to send our condolences to Barry's family, as well as his friends at Impact Wrestling.
