Lucha Underground Posts Teaser Hinting At Comeback (Wrestling News)
There are strong rumours doing the rounds that Lucha Underground is about to resurface.
Lucha Underground has been dormant since 2018, but a teaser posted to the promotion's official X account has people speculating on a possible revival soon. A short 11-second clip on socials showed off a lucha mask and was captioned with the word, "Más", which means 'more', but could also be roughly translated as 'soon'.
Now, after that, wrestling fans are starting to wonder exactly when the once-popular brand will resurface. LU became known for over the top storytelling, dramatic set pieces and some seriously hot matches between 2014-2018. The company also enjoyed booking kayfabe on-screen deaths for countless characters.
It was kinda their thing.
Interestingly, the official Lucha Underground website has also been updated. Copyright filings popped up in the news back in January 2025, but the trail had gone cold since then. It seems that something is about to happen though, so people will be keeping an eye on LU's social streams to find out what's next.
Underground ran for 4 seasons before beginning work on a 5th that was ultimately cancelled. It remains to be seen if there's proper room for LU's wacky/off the wall brand of wrestling in 2026, but there's also only one way to find out - fans may enjoy seeing something totally different from WWE, AEW and TNA again.
It looked for all the world like Underground was a dead concept, but apparently not. This is a story worth keeping your eyes trained on, especially if things are all brewing towards an epic announcement before summer. Here's hoping, eh? The more wrestling, the merrier.
