Luke Harper Is Cleared To Wrestle
He's a team player. But what team will he be on?
Yesterday at Monday Night Raw, both Luke Harper and Paige were backstage at the show. Neither of them appeared on-air, but it sounds like at least the return of Harper is imminent. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, the former Intercontinental Champion has been cleared to return to the ring.
Harper was injured in a dark match after Raw in March, and was believed to need six months off to heal. Looks like that estimate was right on.
Having him at the arena doesn't mean that he's set to debut on Raw, however. He was one of the few names that went un-drafted, so the company could still be deciding where he's going to end up.
What is for sure, though, is that both brands could use him. We've seen lower mid-card acts like Jinder Mahal, Jack Swagger, Rhino and Heath Slater all receive bigger pushes after the draft, so hopefully Harper is given something too. With Raw and SmackDown needing to add depth to their rosters, it wouldn't be too surprising to see Harper receive a bigger push than he has since Survivor Series 2014 when he joined Team Authority to battle Team Cena.
