Luke Harper Returning At WWE WrestleMania Axxess
"I have so much to prove."
Just a few weeks after making an unscheduled appearance at a house show in his home town of Rochester, NY, Luke Harper is now ready for a full-on comeback, with his first return match already announced.
Next Thursday, the former member of the Wyatt Family will meet NXT's Dominik Dijakovic as part of the 'NXT vs. NXT Alumni' event at Brooklyn Pier 12's WrestleMania Axxess.
Harper, who has been out of action since last October after undergoing reconstructive surgery on his knee ligaments, romped to a SmackDown Tag Team Title victory at least year's WrestleMania as one of The Bludgeon Brothers.
A throwaway freebie in the middle of an exhibition hall might seem like a major step down, but in a lengthy Twitter post, a philosophical Harper mused how meaningful the whole thing is to him:
In addition to Harper's long-awaited comeback, this year's Axxess will also feature cruiserweights colliding and a male and female battle royal comprising NXT superstars, as well as, somewhat illogically, NXT UK tapings. The event runs from Thursday all the way through to Monday. Expect a really nice bronze statue to be unveiled at some point.
