Dax Harwood has stated that FTR's next major career decision could be their last in national-level professional wrestling.

Speaking on FTR with Dax, Harwood stated that he and Cash Wheeler are still considering their options ahead of their AEW contracts expiring in April. Off television for the past month, Harwood has been enjoying family time ahead of what he believes will be the biggest career decision he and Cash ever make. FTR will take "a lot of things" into account before making their minds up, though Harwood has an idea of what he wants to do "in his heart."

Said Dax (h/t Wrestling Inc.):-

“Today marks month number one, one month off doing nothing. Having fun, enjoying my family time. The biggest decision of our career is in April. Whatever we do in April I feel will probably be the last thing we ever do in wrestling, period. At least on a national level in the ring for sure. It will be the last ever thing we do in wrestling. So, I’ve got to take a lot of things into consideration as far as what we’re going to do, where we’re going to go, and I have an idea with my heart what I want to do, I have an idea with my brain, and usually I say lead with your heart, but sometimes, especially in this business, man, you lead with your heart, and you get your heart broken.”

This isn't the first time Harwood has suggested FTR's time in professional wrestling may not be long. October 2022 saw Dax claim he would be retired within the next 3-5 years:-

A WWE return has been speculated for FTR since rumours of their contract's expiry date started swirling. Paul Levesque assuming lead creative duties in Stamford is an assumptive drawing card for Harwood and Wilder, given their strong booking under Triple H in NXT, though Vince McMahon's recent return as WWE Executive Chairman may prompt a rethink.

Speaking in January, Harwood admitted that McMahon's comeback "makes things a little questionable."
