Major Babyface Turn Takes Place On AEW Collision

The latest episode of AEW Collision seemingly saw this star turn babyface.

Last night's episode of AEW Collision seemingly saw Powerhouse Hobbs turn babyface.

For the past several months, Hobbs has been paired with QT Marshall and his QTV faction, but that affiliation now appears to have come to an end.

On this week's Collision, Powerhouse took on former Team Taz cohort Ricky Starks in the semi-finals of the Owen Hart Cup Tournament. After Hobbs hit his patented Spinebuster on Absolute, referee Aubrey Edwards was distracted by QT jumping around on the apron, which in turn meant that Aubrey was unable to count the 1-2-3.

Powerhouse would go on to lose this contest, and post-match he shoved Marshall down before then hitting QTV's Aaron Solo with a Spinebuster. These actions not only indicated Hobbs was done with QT Marshall and QTV, but they also suggest the former TNT Champion has now turned babyface.

While Powerhouse Hobbs is clearly a huge talent with immense potential, the QTV nonsense was doing nothing for the 32-year-old. Well, nothing positive at least. Rather than improving the Hobbs act and his presentation, the pairing with QT Marshall had the opposite effect. As such, this separation should be a positive step for Powerhouse.
