Following last night's WWE Money in the Bank premium live event, Happy Corbin vs. Pat McAfee is now officially set for this year's SummerSlam.

After MITB went off the air, Corbin celebrated in-ring with Theory following A-Town's win in the titular men's ladder match. Not content with merely basking in his fellow heel's victory, the former Lone Wolf attacked McAfee, hit the End of Days and then formally accepted Pat's challenge for a match at SummerSlam.

This issue dates back to the 24 June episode of SmackDown, where Pat McAfee climbed atop the commentary desk and challenged 'Bum Ass' Corbin to step in the ring with him at the Biggest Event of the Summer.

It was originally teased that Happy Corbin would respond to this challenge on this past week's blue brand outing, but said response was instead held off until last night.

As of this writing, only one other match is set in stone for SummerSlam 2022, with that being Brock Lesnar challenging for Roman Reigns' Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in a Last Man Standing offering.

Emanating from Nashville's Nissan Stadium, SummerSlam will take place on 30 July.
