In what is probably the least shocking outcome of the night, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are your new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, winning the vacant titles in a four-way match on Raw Monday night.

Rousey & Baszler defeated Damage CTRL (Bayley & Iyo Sky), Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville, and Raquel Rodriguez & Shotzi when Ronda caught Shotzi as she attempted a senton and locked in an armbar for the submission. The victory marks Rousey's first tag title reign and Baszler's third, as she had two runs with the title alongside Nia Jax.

The tag titles were vacated earlier this month after Liv Morgan sustained an injury that will keep her out of action for an undisclosed amount of time. Her tag partner Rodriguez was forced to surrender the titles but was allowed to find a new partner for the four-team match.

In winning the titles, the longtime friends and former MMA fighters could add an air of seriousness and competitive spirit to the tag division if booked properly. Rousey & Baszler should be dominant, no-nonsense champs who could steamroll opponents and force formidable wrestlers to come together to try to take the titles, rather than thrown-together tandems who get lucky.

We've said multiple times that it's a shame the women's tag titles aren't taken more seriously, but you would hope that someone with Rousey's stature would add value and prestige to the championship.
