Major Title Changes Hands On WWE Raw
New title-holders get assist from former champion.
In your feel-good story of the night, Becky Lynch and Lita captured the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship on Raw Monday night, ending Damage CTRL's sputtering second reign.
The unlikely duo of former rivals coalesced a few weeks ago when Lita made a shock return to save Lynch from outside interference from Iyo Sky & Dakota Kai during her steel cage match against Bayley. The two acknowledged they had buried the hatchet and challenged the champs last week, then followed through on Monday.
For Lita, this marks her first title in more than 16 years, when she held the WWE Women's Championship for the fourth and final time.

The match itself was pedestrian at best. Regardless, it provided a true feel-good moment for fans, especially when Trish Stratus returned to thwart Bayley's interference, leveling the playing field. It also ended a rather heatless run for Sky & Kai, whose second run with the titles have been a letdown.
Additionally, Lita and Lynch make for more formidable -- and big-match feel -- champions heading into the home stretch of WrestleMania, so belting the Hall-of-Famer and The Man makes sense, ensuring they get on the Mania card. Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler would be a safe bet for challengers at the Showcase of the Immortals.
