Major WWE Return Is "Very Near"
Could this former World Champion be returning to WWE as soon as SummerSlam?
The WWE return of Bray Wyatt is said to be "very near".
As per the Boozer Rasslin insider Twitter account, a return feud has been suggested and approved for Wyatt and could commence imminently.
The belief is that Bray's return has been discussed for as soon as SummerSlam at the start of next month, and this report has suggested fans should keep their eyes on one of that PLE's main events where it pertains to Wyatt.
At this point, WWE is billing SummerSlam as having a "triple main event", which involves Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor, and Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso. If these rumblings of Wyatt returning at the Biggest Party of the Summer are indeed true, this suggests he'll be getting involved with one of those matches or one of the talents competing in those matches.
Already, some fans are speculating that Bray Wyatt may be the next major opponent for Cody Rhodes once the American Nightmare wraps up his rivalry with Brock Lesnar. If so, Wyatt vs. Rhodes certainly has a little history to it, not least in how Cody was the "pro" mentor to Bray - who at that time was under his Husky Harris moniker - back in the original gameshow format of NXT.
Since returning to WWE at Extreme Rules back in October, Wyatt has only wrestled one match; a win over LA Knight in a Pitch Black Mountain Drew offering at this year's Royal Rumble. The third-generation star was originally planned to face Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 39, but that match was ultimately pulled due to Wyatt dealing with an unspecified illness or physical issue which has kept him on the sidelines up until this point.
Emanating from Detroit's Ford Field, this year's SummerSlam takes place on Saturday 5 August.
