Major WWE UK PPV Set For This September
After 30 years, WWE looks set to announce a major UK PPV for later this year.
As we first reported last September, it looks as if WWE is lining up a major UK PPV for this coming September.
The ever reliable @WrestleVotes is reporting that WWE is planning to run a PPV from Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Saturday 3 September.
Source states the long-awaited WWE United Kingdom PPV return will take place Saturday, September 3rd at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

When we broke this story in September, we were told WWE was planning to do a UK stadium show PPV in September 2022, in addition to a fan event that weekend and a Raw taping on the Monday following the premium live event.
At the time, our source had informed us WWE was looking at venues that could house up to 90,000 fans if possible, which realistically narrowed the conversation down to the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Manchester United's Old Trafford home, and the 'new' Wembley Stadium which opened in 2007.
In terms of the capacity of the Principality Stadium, it holds just short of 74,000 people for rugby and football matches, with a 78,000 capacity for boxing.
This year marks 30 years since WWE last ran a major PPV in the UK, with that being the famed SummerSlam '92 event where Davey Boy Smith toppled Bret Hart in the main event to become the new Intercontinental Champion. That edition of SummerSlam took place on 29 August '92, meaning that the 3 September 2022 date would be nicely in line with the 30-year anniversary of one of the most beloved SummerSlam shows ever put on by the company.
For those wondering, this UK show would not be a SummerSlam event, for this year's SummerSlam is already booked in for the early date of 30 July, taking place from Nashville, Tennessee's Nissan Stadium.
Drew McIntyre has regularly talked about how one of his biggest mission objectives is for the UK to have another "significant" PPV, with him even citing 2022 as the year to do such a show. On the topic of the Scottish Warrior, there has also been plentiful rumours of him possibly facing Tyson Fury in a Battle of Britain affair at some point in the future - with some speculating that a UK PPV could be used to house that match-up.
Expect more on all of this as this story continues to develop.
