Because two three-hour shows are far more palatable than a six-hour slog.

With the past two WrestleManias having been two-day affairs, it looks as if WWE talent is pushing for the two-day format to continue in 2022 and beyond.

In a report from Fightful Select, WWE wrestlers and crew dubbed WrestleMania 37 a major hit – largely down to how those fans in attendance at Raymond James Stadium remained rowdy throughout both days of this year’s Showcase of the Immortals.

Of course, WWE has been known to put on six or seven-hour WrestleMania shows at times, which has usually resulted in a completely flat, tired and outright bored crowd by the time the event’s final matches take place.

This year, with a reported 25,000 fans at Raymond James Stadium on both the Saturday and Sunday, WrestleMania 37 was delivered in a far more palatable way as the action of each day ran for just over three hours.

As it stands, WWE has yet confirm the two-day model for next year’s Granddaddy of Them All. Currently, that PPV is pencilled in as reverting back to the regular single day of ‘Mania – with WrestleMania 38 set to emanate from Arlington, Texas’ AT&T Stadium on 3 April 2022.
