Mark Henry didn't like Bully Ray's recent verbal takedown of WWE's ECW offshoot.

The AEW man told Busted Open Radio that Ray's comments on the show were "Ryback-like", and said he felt "disrespected" when his old peer called the brand "a watered-down mess". Mark said he couldn't accept that, because, "You gotta be respectful with the words that you use when it relates to people that took a lot of pride in their work".

Henry loved being ECW Champion, for example. It didn't sit well with him to tune into Busted Open and hear Bully blast the product as something Vince McMahon took and "drained every last ounce of money that he could get out of it".

Ray defended his comments by saying he wasn't singling out anyone in particular - he just wasn't keen on the way McMahon changed ECW to suit his own vision. That didn't cut it for Mark though. He replied that "words have a lot of power", and he'll never agree with Bully's view on WWE ECW.

Henry was ECW Champ for 70 days between June-September 2008. The belt was decommissioned in early-2010.
