Last night saw Matt Hardy pull off a top tier act of marvellous sh*thousery.

Hardy appeared at Battleground Championship Wrestling's event at the old ECW Arena, where he teased those in attendance with the shock arrival of Jeff Hardy.

Taking the microphone, Hardy addressed the 2300 Arena crowd and talked up how his partner was "family" as The Hardy Boyz WWE music hit. Of course, the fans in South Philadelphia lost their minds at this... only to then realise that the person dancing in the entrance way was Marq Quen of Private Party.

Ahead of the event, BCW promoted a mystery partner to join Matt Hardy in taking on Rob Van Dam and Sabu. And while Hardy did indeed have a surprise partner, it clearly wasn't his brother Jeff.

Full results for this BCW show have yet to surface online, but the promotion had certainly put quite the impressive card together. In addition to the aforementioned tag bout, the event also had Bobby Fish vs. Buddy Matthews, Ricky Morton vs. NZO, The Gunn Club vs. Bear Country, Raven's Last Agent of the Apocalypse vs. Little Guido, KC Navarro vs. Ray Jaz, and Busted Open Radio's Bully Ray and Dave LaGreca carrying out an in-ring interview with Paul Ellering.
