Do you 'Know Your Bro'?

That's a question WWE asked during Matt Riddle's new sketch on the latest SmackDown. Riddle cut a basic promo to the camera and performed various facial expressions to show off his range of emotions whilst explaining that the word "Bro" fits any scenario.

This is 100% something he had to do for Vince McMahon during their very first meeting, isn't it?

In fairness to Riddle, he managed to make it somewhat entertaining, and the skit was thankfully short. There's also a Wayne's World vibe to his character that's endearing, and some of the emotions ("Introspective" and "Afraid", mainly) were pretty funny.

Obviously, this sort of thing isn't going to suit everyone's tastes though, and it is odd that WWE seem obsessed by the most basic things about Riddle; they've already spent serious time explaining why he wears flip flops and wrestles barefoot.

At least they're trying to establish his character and connect the dots for a casual audience. That's not something WWE does enough with new faces on Raw and SmackDown.

Here's the segment in full so you can enjoy Riddle's beaming smile, angry scowl and sad little puppy dog eyes from the comfort of your own home...
