In his recent 'Bro Message of the Day' Twitter video, Matt Riddle confirmed that he is in fact going to be a singles competitor whilst co-NXT Tag Champion Pete Dunne is in the U.K. and he also took a cheeky shot at 'Da Man'.

Skating around outside - at high speed - Riddle mentioned how he was 'staying tight. Just in case (he got) a call for a match'.

His full speech went as followed:

“Oh man, just another day. Coronavirus, bro. Skateboarding around, working out, staying tight. Just in case I get a call for a match. I mean with Stallion Pete out of the country, I can’t really defend my tag titles with him, so until he gets back it look like The Bro is a singles competitor. Hmmm. Hmmm? This skateboard goes fast… almost as dangerous as a Jackhammer,”

Riddle was jumped by Saurav Gurjar and Rinku Singh on this week's edition of NXT, so a future clash between the pair and the BroserWeights looks set to go down in the future.

In the mean time, it seems as though Riddle is very much keeping himself open for a clash against Goldberg at 'Mania 36, now that Roman Reigns has withdrawn from the Universal title match due to being vulnerable to the current global situation.

Chances are, Riddle probably won't be the star to step in for Reigns at 'Mania - with Braun Strowman rumoured to be waiting in the wings - however it would definitely be a welcome shake up if Riddle finally got his chance to take on 'Da Man' on the Grandest Stage.
