Mauro Ranallo And Daniel Bryan To Host WWE's Cruiserweight Classic
The tournament will premiere July 13th at 9pm ET, only on the WWE Network.
SmackDown play-by-play announcer Mauro Ranallo and former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan have been confirmed as hosts of the upcoming Cruiserweight Classic.
The pair will present the first edition of the 32-man, single-elimination tournament on Wednesday July 13th at 9pm Eastern - available on the WWE Network.
A man of Bryan's extensive in-ring experience will hopefully be able to provide in-depth analysis of the action, while Ranallo's commentary has already earned glowing reviews from SmackDown viewers since the beginning of 2016.
The Network will also air an exclusive special entitled 'CWC: Bracketology' on July 6th, which is expected to be a preview show looking at the unique features of the tournament's various entrants - including, of course, WCPW's Noam Dar, as well as WWE veterans Tajiri and Brian Kendrick. Other renowned faces such as Johnny Gargano, Kota Ibushi, Zack Sabre Jr., and Tomasso Ciampa.
Triple H has spoken optimistically of the tournament, stating:“We scoured the globe to find 32 of the best Cruiserweights to compete in this inaugural tournament. These performers will be given an unprecedented opportunity to showcase their elite athleticism and unbridled passion across WWE’s global platforms.”
