Mike Knox Turned Down WWE Return

Former WWE and TNA star had no interest in coming back.

WWE has been reaching out to a lot of former talent to come back for the brand split as of late. While a few of them, like Jinder Mahal, Curt Hawkins and Rhyno agreed to new deals, a few wrestlers have turned the company down.

Mike Knox revealed on Twitter that he was offered a full-time deal to return, but passed on their offer.

His reason is that his body can't handle the workload of the heavy, year-round schedule that WWE was looking for.

"I'm 38 years old, my body isn't capable of being a full-time WWE wrestler anymore like it was back in 2006, 10 years ago. I like the idea of being on the independent scene, mainly because I get to pick the dates I want to work."

It's a bit surprising that they reached out to Knox. While he showed some potential during his run, he was largely jobbed out his last year in the company before they let him go in 2010.

He had a great Bruiser Brody-type look, and some in-ring ability, but they gave up on him in pretty short order. Still, it would have been nice to see him get another chance as a monster heel again, or placed in a tag team to add some depth to either division on Raw or SmackDown.
