It's understood the new deals will see the two remain with promotion for the next five years, as confirmed by Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer.

Speculation had recently arose about the pair's future after Maria posted to social media concerning their status, cryptically tweeting, "Contracts are up in 3 weeks. Just saying…"

According to sources speaking with Pro Wrestling Sheet, both are said to be "very happy" with their new terms.

Maria returned to WWE at 2017's Money in the Bank pay-per-view, bring husband Mike with her. Just two months later, the former took a leave of absence after the couple announced they were expecting their first child. Around the same time, Mike announced he was entering rehab, and was barely seen on TV until the following April.

In January of this year, it was reported that the Kanellises had requested their release from WWE, having been frustrated with their direction for some time. The request was denied, as the company locked as much talent out of a potential AEW move as possible.
