Missing WWE Superstar To Return To Raw Next Week

Wrestler hasn't competed in 15 months... or only two, depending on who you believe.

We've got the answer to the age-old question, "How long does it take to grow out a beard?" And the answer is apparently: two months.

That is at least the case for Elias, who makes his return to WWE Raw next week.

The troubadour has not been seen since June, when he joined his "younger brother" Ezekiel in a backstage segment and in a brief in-ring performance. Ezekiel, of course, was a rechristened and cleanshaven Elias, presented as a completely different character from his April "debut."

Ezekiel was written off TV on the 8 August Raw when Kevin Owens - who was the only person who insisted that Ezekiel and Elias were the same person - powerbombed him onto the apron, leading to a stretcher job. Presumably, Elias has spent the past two months growing out his beard in anticipation of his return.

The Ezekiel experiment was an interesting one. It could have easily failed from the jump with a very bland and generic-looking Elias insisting he was his own younger brother. Owens managed to get the ridiculous gimmick over by sheer willpower, and it showed in that Ezekiel clicked with the crowd whenever KO was around, but floundered when he wasn't.

Elias' last match as a bearded competitor came in a Symphony of Destruction match in July 2021, losing to Jaxson Ryker.
