This was announced on last night's Dynamite, with MJF calling his shot, revealing the exact cash-in date for his All Out poker chip following Mox's successful title defence against 'Hangman' Adam Page. Spurred on by a prior interaction with Moxley's on-air trainer, William Regal, MJF claimed that for the first time in his career, he was going to "earn it" at Full Gear.

Regal and MJF engaged in a lengthy in-ring segment earlier in the night. In it, MJF spat rage at being shunned by Regal following a WWE tryout seven years ago, despite leaving an initial positive impression. In response, the Englishman ripped MJF for shortcutting his way to the top, challenging him to earn his spot the hard way.

MJF has had a banked AEW World Title shot since returning to the company at All Out (4 September), where he won the night's Casino Ladder Match as the Joker. He has since teased cash-in the poker chip signifying his contendership on several occasions.

Moxley and MJF have fought for the World Championship once before, with Mox defeating his challenger at All Out 2020.
