MJF pulled a major swerve on last night's AEW Dynamite, forming a new heel stable to destroy The Inner Circle in the show's closing segment.

Chris Jericho, MJF, and the rest of the IC (sans Wardlow) had gathered for their War Council. Sammy Guevara interrupted a segment that was supposed to see the original AEW power stable settling their differences, showing Jericho footage of MJF secretly plotting with Ortiz, Santana, and Jake Hager to overthrow him as the Inner Circle's leader, prompting the first swerve.

Ortiz, Santana, and Hager pulled out of attacking Jericho, instead siding with him, as Le Champion revealed that his group knew what MJF was up to all along. MJF begged off as Jericho and co. threatened a beatdown, but this, too, was a ruse.

The lights went out. When they came back on, Shawn Spears, FTR, Tully Blanchard, and Wardlow were in the ring with weapons. They destroyed The Inner Circle to close the show, smashing bottles, breaking faces on chairs, handcuffing Ortiz and Santana, and powerbombing Jericho off the stage, standing tall as the credits hit.

AEW has been teasing a Four Horsemen-esque stable almost from day one. This group has five active in-ring competitors to go up against the newly-babyface Inner Circle and while they are yet to confirm a name, it is clear that this angle was a continuation of everything that came before.
