With plentiful questions over the future of one Maxwell Jacob Friedman, the current AEW World Champion has indicated to one member of the WWE roster that he'll be joining them in the market leader in 2024.

As reported by Fightful Select, an unnamed WWE talent told the outlet how MJF said, "I'm looking forward to being there in 2024".

This talent did state that, while Max wanted them to take him seriously on this statement, they took it with a grain of salt.

In terms of WWE, it was detailed how "obviously" the promotion would have significant interest with MJF if and when he becomes available.

Of course, on AEW programming we've regularly seen the Salt of the Earth talk up the bidding war of 2024, with Freidman referencing how his All Elite deal is up early next year. For anyone who has asked about when MJF's contract is really up, the former Pinnacle man has reiterated how the start of 2024 is when he'll be able to weigh up his options.

All that's known for sure is that MJF did sign an extension early into his AEW career to keep him with the company until the start of 2024. Whether or not he's since signed a further extension is currently unknown, though many assume that to be the case.
