Monday's RAW In Pittsburgh CANCELLED, USA Network To Broadcast From WWE Performance Center In Orlando
No wrestling fans likely in attendance.
Just like tonight's SmackDown, Monday's '3:16 Day' special edition of WWE Raw will take place from WWE's Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
PWInsider reports that the decision to move Raw from its originally scheduled location of the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania came today as the Coronavirus outbreak shows no sign of deescalating.
USA Network will still broadcast WWE Raw live, which will be emanating from the PC for the first time in its long history. Although not stated by PWInsider, we can probably expect that only select and crucial employees of WWE will be on hand to produce the show and that no wrestling fans would be allowed in attendance.
As more US states are putting a block on large gatherings, a consequence could be the WWE Performance Center becoming the new weekly home of Raw and SmackDown for the foreseeable future.
In theory, one future advantage to shooting at the Performance Center could be taping several episodes of TV back-to-back... which could offer many of WWE's staff and performers the ability to self-isolate themselves before a potential outbreak seeps into their roster and causes severe havoc and disruption to the availability of talent, and subsequently logic of storylines.
